Key Stage 5 Curriculum.
Core Curriculum Key Stage 5 Curriculum.

Our Key Stage 5 curriculum is designed in conjunction with employers and UEA to ensure that our students are prepared for the world of work and further study.

Please see the table below to see our entry criteria for Sixth Form.

We offer the following 3 programmes. Each programme is of two years’ duration commencing in September 2020 and running over four taught days per week.

 Programme   Entry Criteria 
 A Level Plus

 Minimum of 6 GCSEs at grade 5 or above inc English and Mathematics

 (Grade 6 in the subjects you wish to study)

 Level 3 Engineering Pathway

 Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above inc in English Language (grade 4 accepted) and grade 5 in Mathematics

 Level 3 Computing Pathway

 Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above inc in English Language (grade 4 accepted) and grade 5 in Mathematics

In addition to the core programmes, all students participate in:

  • Find Your Future: projects working closely with local employers to solve real world problems
  • Private Study
  • Two weeks’ Work Experience in July 2021
  • Day 5 – where students find paid or unpaid work
Private Study

Private Study is essential to consolidate the ideas covered in lessons. It is expected that students will need to spend around 5 hours per week studying privately per subject.
