Test drives a career at Lotus workshop

A TALENTED student has impressed bosses at world-renowned sports car brand, Lotus.

During his time there, Lex assisted with prototyping and conducting safety checks on vehicles before they were cleared for track testing.

He said: “The experience was incredibly exciting. I even had the opportunity to drive a car on the track, though it wasn’t ISO-certified yet.”

Studying for aT Level in mechatronics – a field that combines mechanical and electrical engineering – Lex has set his sights on an automotive-related career, preferably with Lotus.

His placement supervisors provided positive feedback, highlighting his passion and dedication to the work.

The placement was part of a programme that included four students across different departments at Lotus.

Lex is now eagerly awaiting apprenticeship opportunities with the company, and is hoping his positive experience and feedback will strengthen his application
