Sixth Form Bursaries

UTCN offers financial support to help eligible Sixth Form students with the costs of education, ensuring that everyone can access the opportunities our school provides.

16–19 Bursary Fund

The 16–19 Bursary Fund is available to students who need help with:

  • Travel costs to and from school

  • Uniform and PPE expenses

  • Course-related materials and equipment

Who Can Apply?

  • Students aged 16–19 at the start of the academic year

  • Priority is given to those in care, care leavers, receiving Income Support, or in households receiving Universal Credit

  • Other students may apply for support if they experience financial hardship

How to Apply

  • Applications are made directly to UTCN through the Head of Sixth Form, please email thomas.southerden@utcncst.org. Please download, fill in and return the application form which can be found here. 

  • All applications are assessed confidentially to ensure fair support.

  • Support is provided termly, based on eligibility and available funding.
