Students harness team-work to nail brief

BUDDING engineers have practised teamwork and developed their problem-solving skills at an innovative workshop.

As part of Find Your Future initiative, the Year 12 students were tasked with building a hydraulic arm with an accompanying set of instructions. Student Sophie says the task was fun and informative.

“We got on well with the project and I really enjoyed the teamwork. We were given six weeks to complete the task which was quite stressful towards the end. I really enjoyed building it and creating the instructions – it was fun, and the teachers were great, although they encouraged us to work independently.”

The project was delivered by East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), which supported Sophie’s ambitions of working in the energy sector.
