Respect on Remembrance Day
YOU could have heard a pin drop as our staff and students observed a minute’s silence to mark Remembrance Day.
Our students paid their respects to the men and women who fell in service of their country. A short Remembrance Day parade featured cadets from Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps, Sea Cadets, Scouts, St John Ambulance, Fire and Police Cadets.
Cpl Ben (ACF), who bore the Wymondham detachment banner, and Cpl Aydan (ATC) led the parade.
Teacher Mr Southerden said: It is crucial that we teach our students about the significance of Remembrance Day and the sacrifices made by those who fought for our freedom. Observing a minute of silence is a solemn and respectful way to honour these brave men and women and to show our appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy today. All the pupils should be proud of their incredible turnout and drill.
