UTCN Student helps to refurbish local cadet centre

UTCN student Lana was part of a team who helped upgrade the Cadet Centre in central Norwich.

The air cadet helped to refurbish the simulator room, air rifle range, drill hall and classroom.

She worked with the team to add step free access, ramps and an accessible toilet to make the centre more user friendly and welcoming.

Corporal Lana said: “The flight simulator gave me first-hand experience of flight really early in my cadet journey. I think the flight Year 11 footballers defeat Thorpe simulator will be a favourite activity for the new cadets. Although, I count fieldcraft and aviation engineering in my favourites, too.”
