T Level student secures industry placement at John Innes Centre

T Level student Katie says she is thrilled to have secured a four-week industry placement at the John Innes Centre.

She will learn about plant science, genetics and microbiology during the placement at the company’s headquarters in Norwich.

Katie, who is in Year 12, said: Trying to get an industry placement for a science career at such a young age is really challenging – but not if you do T Level. The course is really set up to help you get that practical experience, which will help when it comes to getting a job when my course has finished.
