UTCN Student meets Max Verstappen

Year 11 Sam says his mind went blank when he got to meet three-time Formula
One world champion Max Verstappen.

They were eating pizza together while filming an advert for Red Bull when he got the chance to ask a question.

Sam, who will become the youngest-ever entry to the Britcar Trophy Championship, was invited to be part of the advert via a connection to Race Car Consultants.

When he arrived to film the advert, there was a special surprise – a chance to meet racing superstar Max.

Sam said: “I had the chance to ask him questions but my mind went a bit blank. When we were eating pizza together I think I asked him how to become a professional racer. He said, ‘Just keep pushing’.It was incredible to meet him. He’s everyone’s hero right now in F1. He’s the main guy winning all the races. It was inspirational.”
