Parliament highlight of capital careers trip

Students networked with top bosses from the energy sector during a trip to the Houses of Parliament.

Five T Level engineering students travelled to the capital for the careers event organised by the East of England Energy Group.

They heard talks from energy sector workers and Waveney MP Peter Aldous.

Student Kody secured a work experience placement with ONRG after meeting one of their team at the event.

He said: It was an amazing experience to visit the Houses of Parliament. We had a chance to have a tour and look around before the networking event. We then heard from the MP and the other people from the energy sector. Afterwards there was a networking event where we got an opportunity to talk to people. I got talking to someone from ONRG and asked about work experience. He got in contact afterwards and offered me a place. I was really pleased.”
