Electrical Assembly Technician at Ansible Motion
Why did you come to UTCN?
At the time, UTCN was the best path for me to pursue a future in the engineering industry. It offered the perfect blend of academic learning and hands-on experience, helping me take that important first step toward my career.
What did you like about UTCN?
One of the standout features for me was the Industry Liaison Group. It played a huge role in preparing me for the real world. The guidance and support were always there, making the transition from education into employment much smoother. Knowing you have that kind of backing gives you real confidence.
Why did you apply for your job?
I applied for my role at Ansible Motion because they saw the dedication and effort I put into my work experience placements throughout 2024 and 2025. They recognised my potential, and I saw it as a chance to grow further in a field I’m passionate about.
What do you do in your job?
I’m currently working as an Electrical Technician at Ansible Motion. My role involves building high-performance PCs and server racks that power advanced simulators—everything from projectors and graphics to operator software and physics models. I also manufacture ethernet, power, and audio cables, as well as smaller electrical looms that are crucial to the operation of our cabins and motion platforms. It’s hands-on, high-tech, and incredibly rewarding.
What advice would you give current UTCN students?
Show that you’re willing to learn, grow, and put in the effort. That attitude alone can open doors. Take every opportunity that comes your way—even if it feels small—because each one builds your experience and proves your commitment. The more you say yes to, the more chances you’ll have to succeed.
