Work-Based Placements

Your course tutors along with the UTCN Work Experience Coordinator will work with you to identify suitable opportunities for you to pursue during your time at UTCN

All courses comprise a work experience placement. The purpose is to build experience that will be
valuable for future employment or study. Many students discover a their future employer whilst demonstrating their ability in the workplace.

Work experience will give students an understanding of the working environment and an insight into a variety of engineering industries and related careers. Students also often find seeing how their academic and practical learning is applied in the workplace very useful for their studies.

Work Experience will take place at the following times in 2025 although these dates are TBC:

  • Year 12 T Level Foundation: 20th Jan-31st Jan (TBC)

  • Year 12 T Level Engineering: 16th June-18th July  (TBC)

  • Year 12 T Level Science: 23rd June-18th July  (TBC)

  • Year 13 T Level Science: 6th January-7th February  (TBC)

  • Year 13 T Level Engineering: 28th April-23rd May (TBC)
