Surrey University – English and Classical Civilisation

Why did you want to work in a school?

UTCN is a fantastic establishment for young people who want to focus on engineering and STEM. I enjoy being part of that and being able to support students with their future destination choices and being able to support them through their courses.

What do you like about UTCN and your job?

Without a doubt, the people and being part of a team that helps and supports the students so fantastically!

Did you have any other jobs before becoming an English Teacher?

I have always been an English teacher – for 25 years!

What do you do to relax? What are your interests?

I enjoy long walks with my two bonkers dogs in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside and I love my little garden and being with family and friends who are so important to me!
