It has a wide selection of non-fiction and fiction, including magazines, manga and graphic novels and quick read titles. Adult fiction is located in the quiet sixth form area, as is the careers library.
Students may borrow up to three books via Mrs Wootton with a loan period of two weeks. These can then be renewed up to three times, either by visiting the library desk or by logging into the UTCN library website via the link below. The only items which cannot be borrowed are magazines.
To log in on the UTCN library website, students only need to enter their unique 6 digit library number – no PIN or password is required. Please see Mrs Wootton or email her on firstname.lastname@example.org to find out your unique library number.
Once logged in, you can renew any library books that are due back. You can also reserve books or add them to your wishlist (‘My List’) by dragging and dropping the book cover into the tabs at the top.
You can also like books and write book reviews to recommend titles to your fellow students!
Even without logging in and as a ‘guest user’ on the library website, you can still search the catalogue and see if books are in stock or on loan (the number of copies display in a green circle if on the shelf, and a red circle if a book is on loan).
