Where and what did you study?

University of Leicester

Why did you want to work in a school?

I was inspired by my English teacher, Mrs Brown, whose passion for the subject rubbed off on me and I wanted to replicate this by inspiring young minds myself.

What do you like about UTCN and your job?

I’ve been so well supported throughout my vocational journey, having worked at UTCN from its inauguration and the start of my teaching career – I just can’t bring myself to leave!

Did you have any other jobs before becoming a Teacher?

I worked as a car valeter in Leytonstone, as a back door supervisor at Waitrose and in the Sunshine Cafe (Great Yarmouth) as a pot wash.

What do you do to relax? What are your interests?

I am a Canaries season ticket holder – although I actually prefer LUFC but it’s a bit too far to travel for the games
