At UTCN, we use the DPR to set homework and Private Study for students.

Year 10

A memory focus

Year 10 homework is recall based and builds up students’ long term retention of information, These tasks are linked to a key objective from lessons in DPR and therefore the curriculum. 

Setting Assignments

Homework is set once per week for each of your classes.

Homework will be set on the DPR assignment tab. For password resets, follow the reset password link on the DPR login page.

Examples of homework could include 

• Seneca learning
• Exam style questions
• Extracts or sources which students need to remember (key vocabulary, translations, formulas and its applications, poems, quotes etc.)

Sanctions

Homework setting is tracked and students who do not complete homework on time will receive  a lunch time detention. Extensions will not be granted. 

Assignment Submissions

Students are to return homework as specified by the teacher. This could be;

• Physically hand in class 
• Upload through DPR 
• Submit via Seneca Learning 

 

Assignment marking

Your assignment will be marked within 1 week of the submission date on the DPR by your teacher. It may be assessed as part of the lesson when it is due, or separately. 

 

Years 11, 12 and 13
