If you would like to join us in September 2019 please click on the button at the top of this page. Once we recieve your application we will invite you to a pre-admission meeting. At this meeting we will discuss you interest in UTCN and your future career plans and interests. If UTCN is a suitable option for you we will make you a written offer.
1. Acceptance - if you decide to accept our offer, you have a place with us. As the year progresses you will be invited to the following events:
2. Induction Day – for students
We will be holding an Induction Day for all new Year 10 students on Tuesday, July 9. It is important that you attend this if at all possible. The purpose of this day is to familiarise students with travel to UTCN, the UTCN site layout, curriculum and expectations. The day will start at 9.00am and will finish by 3pm. During the day, students will take part in activities relevant to their chosen courses and confirm their options. Students should wear smart business dress for this day and lunch will be provided.
Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your attendance.
3. New Parents’ Information Evening
On Thursday, July 11 at 6.30pm we will be holding an information evening for parents/carers of Year 10 students. This event is aimed at parents/carers and students do not need to attend, but the opportunity will be available for them to try on uniform. During this meeting, UTCN systems and procedures will be explained and parents will have the opportunity to meet key staff.
4. Summer Work Pack
To help you prepare for your studies, we have put together a Summer Work Pack. This will help you gently prepare for Year 12. These packs are personalised and will be issued to you on July 16. If you cannot attend then, they will be posted out to you.
5. Admission Form and Home School Agreement
Please complete them and return them to us as soon as possible.
A list of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the dress code be found here. Students can try on and order PPE and uniform at the Induction Day. We strongly advise that orders are completed on this day to ensure that uniform is delivered on time. Orders will be available for collection from UTCN.
If you have any queries about PPE, please contact V&J Knitwear on 01553 772563 or email@example.com
First Buses provide the bus timetable for the UTCN contract bus. We anticipate that this will operate at the same, or similar times, to the current service which can be found here. This service allows students to travel from Norwich Rail Station and Norwich Bus Station to UTCN.
Bus passes for the UTCN contract bus will be available to purchase from the first day of the academic year in September. Details on how to purchase bus passes will be advertised shortly.
If you have an identified Special Educational Need, have a medical condition or feel that you will need extra support in lessons, it is important that you make contact with our SENDCO, Mr Beckett via email on firstname.lastname@example.org
Most students chose their options at their pre-admission meeting and these will be checked – and confirmed at the Induction Day.
11. Term dates
These are available on our website here. Parents and students should note that Wednesday, September 4 is the first date of term for new students.
We look forward to seeing you soon, but in the meantime, if you have any queries, please contact Mary Toddington on 01603 580280 or contact us via email at email@example.com
